This season’s recipients are led by left wing R.J. Umberger, who earned the Jackets Fans Most Valuable Player Award as voted by fans at BlueJackets.com and the John H. McConnell Most Courageous Player Award as voted by his teammates. Umberger tallied 25-32-57 with 38 penalty minutes and a +3 plus/minus rating in 82 games in 2010-11, recording his third-straight 20-goal season and setting a career high in points. He also played in his 246th-straight game as a Blue Jacket, setting a new franchise record for consecutive games played.
