Yoga at Umberger Performance is a combination of Hatha, Iyengar, and Ashtanga.

When our instructor Pepsi first starting taking Yoga classes she always felt lost. She was sure if she was inhaling or exhaling and if she was standing, in downdog or plank it went way too fast. So when she got her Yoga certification she learned that all classes didn’t have to go so fast that there were so many options with Yoga. So her approach to Yoga is focusing on proper form, lots of modifications, and holding the poses longer so people can understand where they should feel it and proper alignment with lots of cues. So the classes are not a vinyasa flow but more Iyengar where we hold a little longer typically 6-10 breathes. Pepsi uses her Kinesiology background to focus on proper technique to create a fun but education based Yoga class.
